This was part of an image that I was working on last year when I got my new laptop. I don't know if I'll ever finish it, though I would like to.

I sketched the picture a while before I started to colour it. It was going to portray how a child can be affected when parents split up/argue but I came across the sketch whilst going through a rough time of my own, so I made this icon from the sketch. I haven't finished the lineart for the full image yet, so I may even turn it into what it was originally intended for.

I guess it's just taken me a lot of practise to get to the stage I am at now with shading. I wish it didn't take so long sometimes though lol ^^
